Hamilton obtains near half-million-dollar judgment for Tri-Lakes area hotel owner

In October of last year, S&F partner Tom Hamilton obtained a $446,320 jury verdict for his client, Terry Mayville – former owner of the Mountain County Motor Inn in Branson West.

On January 10, 2020, following the jury’s October 2019 verdict, the Court awarded Mayville an additional $20,000 in attorneys’ fees, as the substantially prevailing party in the lawsuit.

In 2016, Mayville entered into agreements to sell the Mountain Country Motor Inn to Haden, LLC. The jury concluded that Haden, LLC, and its owner Andrew Haden, breached both the parties’ original 2016 sale agreements and subsequent amended agreements the parties negotiated after Haden, LLC’s initial defaults.
